FAQs

Are you the right designer for me?

Yes. If you value hands on experience and want to spend your budget

on the garden, not a high end 3D conceptual design.

I have a network of landscapers, lighting and irrigation specialists, so

you don't have to source everything yourself. I supply and plant

most of my new gardens, so thats one less thing to worry about.

I may not be the right fit if:

you are looking for a highly technical, luxury design package, and

require on site presence and project management throughout.

What if I want to do the work myself and just need advice?

I offer an on site consultation for £125

Where we walk through your garden and talk through

your ideas and aspirations.

I can then give you expert guidance on planting and

layout, along with next best steps, so you can move forward with confidence.

Do you do all of the landscaping and lighting yourself?

No. I design your new garden and then pass it on to one of my  trusted landscapers,

or a landscaper of your choice.

I meet the landscaper with you at your home so we can go over everything together.

If you are happy to go ahead. I come back in at the start of the build,to set out the garden, ensuring that everything

adheres to the design, and that you are happy before work begins.

Do I need a garden designer or can a landscaper do it all?

A good landscaper is essential, but a garden designer will focus on how you

will use the space, how it should feel, and what to prioritise, avoiding costly

mistakes and rework.

I also offer a full planting service (not included in my design fee) ensuring that

your garden works for you long term, at a maintenance level you can manage.

I have a small garden and budget, can you still help?

Absolutely!

Good design isn't about how much you spend, it's about how wisely you spend it.

Having a clear plan of work, allows you to build and plant at your own pace.

Do I have to use the landscaper you recommend?

Not at all.

Most clients prefer to go with my trusted tradespeople, but it is totally up to you.

I'm happy working alongside whoever you choose.

What if I don't like some of the ideas, or want to change something?

Don't worry, this is a normal part of the design process.

I always meet with you in person to review the initial plans,

to ensure that you are completely happy before I proceed

onto your final design.

The design fee includes up to two rounds of refinements,

allowing you time to take everything in and request any changes.

I'm worried that I'll be left with a garden I can't manage. Do you offer maintenance?

Yes. We offer 3 seasonal tidy ups a year (not included in the design fee) on all of our

new gardens.

What if i'm not ready to build straight away?

No problem.

Many clients use the design as a long term plan, allowing them to move forward

in stages that work for their budget and timings.
